Weekly Health Tip
Do I need to eat a special diet because I exercise?
Basic guidelines for healthy eating should provide all the energy and nutrition we need for the normal moderate day-to-day workouts. If your work out is >90 minutes at a high intensity then you’ll want to fuel your body with carbohydrates 3-4 hours before the workout and drink plenty of liquids throughout your workout. When you are finished with your high intensity workout it just as important to refuel your muscles, but instead to go for the less refined carbohydrates.
