One Chart is Live!

On May 1st, Windom Area Hospital converted to a new clinical, financial, and scheduling computer system called One Chart. This new system provides one patient record for all Sanford sites, streamlines registration and communication processes, simplifies patient billing, and increases patient safety. As with any change, there will be a transition process. During these first few weeks, we will be updating all patient demographic information in our new system. Please plan a few extra minutes for your appointments, and make sure to bring any insurance cards and medications with you. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve your care!

Fun Run Early Bird Registration Now Open!

It is time to register for the 16th Annual Vickie Schendel Fun Run! The Fun Run will be held on Riverfest Saturday, June 9th - with registration starting at 7:00 a.m. and runners beginning at 8. There are events for the whole family. . . choose from the 5K Run, 5K Walk, 1-Mile Walk, 1-Mile Run, Toddler Trot, and the Mites Wacky Challenge. Pick up a registration form at Windom Area Hospital, KDOM, Citizen Publishing, or the Chamber. Participants get a T-shirt, and Early Bird specials are available if you register by May 25th. POWER coming for Windom Middle and High School Students this Summer!

Windom Area Hospital, Windom Area High School and Windom Community Education are partnering with Sanford POWER to provide local athletes with enhanced performance training this summer. Our Summer Accelerated/Power program will be offered to Windom students currently in grades 6-12. Sessions will run on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings from June 4th to July 27th. There will be two sessions each morning- athletes will choose either 6:30-7:45; or 7:45 to 9:00 a.m. (Preferences are considered, but not guaranteed.) Cost for the program is $130, but a 10% discount will be given if pre-registered by May 11th. For more information, contact Rehabilitation Manager Josh Sammons at 831-0635.

In-House Digital Mammo Equipment Coming This Summer!
	Thanks to overwhelming community support, Windom Area Hospital will be adding an on-site digital mammography unit to its state-of-the-art Imaging Department.   More
