Did you know that the Windom Area Hospital gets all their blood from the Community Blood Bank (CBB)?
Since July 2001, CBB has been the sole and exclusive supplier of donated blood and blood products to patients of Windom Area Hospital. Your blood donations will stay local to help local patients!

Tour of Tables Shopping Extravaganza coming on June 27th!

Join Windom Area Hospital and celebrate life at the “Tour of Tables”- a shopping extravaganza to benefit local cancer patients. The Tour of Tables will be held on Thursday, June 27th from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m in the Windom Area Hospital lobby. Area vendors will sell their specialty items, with proceeds being used for the Relay for Life, and to buy gas cards for patients receiving cancer treatments out of town.

Fun Run 2013 - Another Success!

The 17th Annual Vickie Schendel Fun Run was a great success, despite the threat of rain that dampened most Riverfest activities! The event drew 188 participants between the 5K run, 5K walk, 1 mile run, 1 mile walk and children’s events.
The event netted $2,750, which due to our generous sponsors, will all go to the Vickie Schendel Memorial and be used for patient education efforts.

POWER program starts soon!

The POWER Program is a collaboration between Windom Area Hospital, Sanford Health, and local schools. Under the supervision of Windom Area Hospital Physical Therapists and Rehabilitation staff, the program focuses on improving the speed, agility, and strength of student athletes through targeted exercises and training. The POWER program is open to all student athletes entering grade 7 through graduation, with the first session starting on June 10th. For more information, contact Josh Sammons at 831-0634.

New Classes for Summer!

Start your summer right with new fitness classes at The Wellness Center! "Gentle Yoga" will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Early birds will love the "Day Starter" cardio and yoga class, held on Wednesdays from 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. All other classes will continue with their usual schedule as well.
